I have always been an analytical thinker, and I like to consider the logistics of how different processes work. I am interested in exploring complex topics that we know little about, and I want to understand the concepts behind many of the natural phenomena of the world and how they can be harnessed to create something more valuable than its individual parts. I believe that the field of quantum computing and its unique model of computation could be what I'm looking for. In my free time, I like to play logic and strategy based games that allow me to plan things out logistically, which I enjoy doing a lot. I also like to occasionally play board games with my family.
Taekwondo has been a big part of my life ever since I was 5 years old. I initially began when I was living in Florida, and I learned how to do forms, weapons, and basic sparring. After moving to Texas as a brown belt, I continued to learn more advanced forms and things like new weapons and a different form of sparring known as combat sparring. I got my first degree black belt when I was in 6th grade, and I continued all the way until I got my third degree in 10th. Being a part of Taekwondo has helped me not only develop my self-defense skills greatly, but also form a close relationship with my instructors and fellow peers.
I also enjoy playing table tennis casually with my family and friends. I frequently play at home with my dad and my sister as a way to relax, and I am pretty good at it. I played table tennis with my friends at school as part of a club after school, and we had a lot of fun playing together. I want to keep playing table tennis as a hobby that can help me de-stress from other obligations I have in my life.
